LK hits it on the nose again.
I recall how difficult it was to pass the new GI bill.
This country has an amazing ability to relegate those who do the most important work to a lower status: teachers, soldiers, policemen and firemen, etc.
But, how those hollywood celebrities are adored and fawned over. Show like Entertainment Tonight celebrate the smallest thing they do. What a bunch of crap!
And sports celebrities, too. Paying outrageous millions to some jock is another sign of the lack of any clear compass on the part of the American people. Especially when so many of them take performance enhancing drugs or other drugs and end up in jail.
We should pull out all the stops for our returning heroes.
