“When Greed Is Good” and Minds Are Open

This piece, entitled “When Greed Is Good” was brought to my attention by Mike Nolan, entrepreneur and web crawler Emeritus, and though I don’t agree with many of the particulars in it, the overview bears consideration.
As I’m increasingly of the belief that this nation is being paralyzed by an all or nothing ideological mentality, I’m also of the belief that some of the most valuable insights come from making contact with, and giving serious consideration to, points of view that are moderately, or even violently, opposed to one’s own.
This goes way beyond Lincoln’s “team of rivals” concept, which has also been bandied about by the Obama crew. This doesn’t involve simply cracking the door open and letting a new idea or two squeeze through. This has to do with kicking the door down.
That said, check out the piece linked above.
