It did not meet expectations (to get the A+ he often earns,) and stragely Obama seemed to have borrowed some lines from the movie, "The American President;" he is too articulate to need that unless some of his writers are those who participated in the movie. Also, like other great Illinois speakers such as Adlai Stevenson, Abraham Lincoln, Everett Dickson, to name a few, he continues to speak, as Jesse Jackson said, "above" the sudience that he needs to reach.
