So Much For My Open Mind
This simple summary of the Geithner plan from the NY Post (tabloid but terse) has created a degree of disgust in me that pretty much negates whatever degree of open-mindedness I was able to muster for the piece I provided a link to in my previous post.
We’re about to give the same vultures who dropped us in the toxic security cesspool an opportunity to profit substantially with a minimum of risk, back-stopped by our very own tax dollars.
We are chumps, we are victims, we are marks.
Unless we choose not to be.
I’m thinking of a plan that gives willing taxpayers the right to divert their taxes to a hedge fund-like pool that can take the same risks, with the same limited downside, that the vultures are being offered.
