Meta-Delegates, Nausea, Rubbernecking, Grace, and An Apology

1. Super-delegates created the mess that disenfranchised voters in Florida and Michigan, whether the super-D’s were national party leaders who made rules or state party leaders who broke them. How can this bumbling bunch then have the audacity to even consider overturning the popular vote and pledged delegate count? Regretfully, this leaves me little choice but to emerge from a smoke filled room and declare as meta-delegates myself and 11 others (creating a traditional 12 member jury) who have the power to overturn the will of the stupor-delegates. As meta-delegates, we will act only if they usurp the will of the people.

2. I am physically sickened by the emergence of racially charged code words and phrases that are setting attitudes about race in this country back a generation or two. We’ve clearly become the Barely United Demographic Groups of America. A further progression of the national regression.

3. If anything close to the numbers right now (11:02pm EST) hold up (O up 14% in NC, H up 4% in IN), nothing short of shameless behavior, whether blatant chicanery or hovering and hoping for something bad to happen to Barack , can bring it home for Hillary. Rubbernecking a bad accident is human nature at its worst. Waiting breathlessly for one is despicable.

4. Sadly, Hillary and her people are graceless tonight. Just watched the IN speech. The way the numbers changed in IN as the night went on clearly had a debilitating psychological effect on the Clinton crew, and combined with the NC rout left them without a humane compass. She looked presidential after PA; she looks like a Stepford wind-up tonight.

5. Final 12% in IN is starting to come in. Obama improved with white males; he did substantially better with that group than he did in Ohio and Pennsylvania. There’s a possibility that I gave America and Americans too little credit in #2 above, when the night was still young. I’m more than happy to apologize if that’s the case.

  1. Nice suit, LK! The Falcon has determined a number of things whilst being numbed into submission by this Dante’s Inferno of a campaign. Yes, the Clinton machine waits for another stumble by OB, as you so accurately observe; it is the only shot they have left. Yes, McCain is completely out of his league as a presidential candidate…nice guy, war hero, given. The question The Falcon has for LK is can OB actually fix a country so crushed by greedy, shortsighted, corporate-polititians that its world-stance is an embarrassment? The Falcon truly hopes so, yet fears the ultra left leanings of OB make him more prone to limp wrist his way through the gangs of thugs who control the world’s resources, financial holdings, and manufacturing of everything from Barbie dolls to uber-technology. Does he have the backbone it takes to pull the trigger when it is the only option? For our children’s sake, I pray I am wrong.
