LK TWIST: Jay, Conan, and Haiti

I was asked this morning why I hadn’t posted on the NBC late night debacle. My response was that 8500 other “media experts” had already done so, and I don’t watch late night anyway.
I read instead. Nasty habit I can’t seem to break.
The one thing I’ll say is that if Conan is getting 30 mil to walk away, then it’s a rather minor and pedestrian transaction in the world of big business. 30 mil is boardroom chump change, a canvas parachute, an afterthought in a world in which trillion is the new billion.
A world in which we send help after an abominable situation gets hit by a 7.0 quake, because that’s what it takes to provoke us to change mental channels.
This late night upheaval doesn’t register on any Richter scale that matters, because the Andy Richter scale doesn’t.

great “twist!” nice pulling us back to reality….guess most of us just love the old “hockey game breaking out at a fight” mentality. Oh, and where are the cigars? twist format born today…happy birthday and congrats!
