Janet Napolitano Is An Idiot

“We have no evidence that it is anything other than a one-off”. This from Janet Napolitano, head of Homeland Insecurity, on ABC’s “This Week”, less than 24 hours after the Times Square car bomb failed to ignite. This from a member of an administration that urged us, and correctly so, not to jump to conclusions. Republicans offered the same caveat. Don’t assume organized terror cell, don’t assume lone wolf.
Now it’s starting to look like a naturalized American, recently returned from Pakistan, was the running man. Now it’s starting to look like he had accomplices who helped him purchase the incendiary potpourri he had stashed in the SUV.
Now it’s starting to look like Napolitano, whose reaction time to the oil rig disaster rivals the sluggishness of Brownie to Katrina, is in way over her head, if her head is supposed to remain clear and above water while others are losing theirs.
Incompetence exists independent of party affiliation.

I’m not really interested in defending Napolitano, but I will say that I think Homeland Security is way too broad of a department. A little research will show you they do way too much. Should the same people be worrying about terror attacks and oil spills?
you’re absolutely right about the excessive ground they’re asked to cover. that said, you take the job, you find a way to do the job, or you insist that the faulty structure and the overwhelming jurisdiction be divided in a way that’s more manageable.
Janet would be over her head in a little kids swimming pool. She is an outright boob. she gives lesbians a bad name. To think that Obama is considering her for SCOTUS has to be a joke. She needs to go …and soon. How in the name of heaven was she elected governor? How in the name of heaven did she get her current job? Was it sheer politics? Did Obama want to lock up the gay and lesbian vote? Its very scary.

Janet Napolitano is the face of Homeland Security. I am not confident in her abilities, therefore, I am not confident in the abilities of Homeland Security. Also, if the oil spills threaten our country’s resources, habitat, and our environment, than that DOES fall under our security therefore, Homeland Security should be accountable. That doesnt mean that Homeland Security shouldnt leverage any and all available resources, such as the EPA, Navy, Coast Guard, etc to accomplish it’s goals.
