Funny or Die’s Presidential Reunion

Funny Or Die has a great video up today that “brings together the Saturday Night Live actors who have played every American president since Gerald Ford” (plus a not-to-miss guest spot by Jim Carrey playing “The Gipper”). In the video, Barack Obama gets a visit from the ex-Presidents to get a few tips about the Consumer Financial Protection Agency.
By now we’ve learned there is no Invisible Hand Of The Market and there is no such thing as Utopian Socialism. Like the presidents before him, Obama has to balance capitalism and socialism. That’s a pretty tall order. So criticize him if you must – and I guess we must – but remember that the handful of presidents before him couldn’t do it either. If they had, we wouldn’t be where we are right now.

funny stuff, but there is an “invisible hand of the market” although perhaps not exactly as referred to above. it’s nicknamed the PPT, or Plunge Protection Team, and its official title is “President’s Working Group on Financial Markets”. we’re a free market like a free range chicken who gets its head cut off is free.
P.S. At about :50 in the video there is a shot of Obama’s night stand with what appears to be a Chicago Cubs mug. Obama is a Chicago White Sox fan. Ron Howard is slipping, I guess. But more importantly, I don’t want any Curse of the Cubs to rub off on Obama. He’s facing enough challenges already.
